Celtic are one of the biggest clubs in world football, and the club’s rich history continues to grow.
Whether it’s Brendan Rodgers in the dugout or the legendary Martin O’Neill, time and time again, the trophies are being put into the cabinet for fun.
One of the other great things about Celtic is the support it gets worldwide from not just fans, but celebrities, and even players who never put on that senior shirt.
There are many notable boyhood Celtic fans playing in Europe, as well as in the English Premier League, with one recent hero coming back.
Kieran Tierney’s return has been confirmed, but could he be joined by a player who is yet to walk down his path in Glasgow?

Andy Robertson would ‘love’ to play for Celtic
Andy Robertson was on Celtic’s books as a youngster, but at the time, it was deemed that he wasn’t good enough.
That didn’t stop Robertson from forging an outstanding career, including winning two Premier League titles and the Champions League with Liverpool.
Ross McCormack suggested that the 31-year-old would ‘love’ to play for Celtic, but he can’t see it happening because Tierney will make that left-back spot his own for ‘years and years’, as he told Clyde 1 Superscoreboard.
“What age is Andy now? 31,” said McCormack. “So, if he did see out the final year (at Liverpool), he will be 32. Personally, I can’t see it (Robertson playing for Celtic).
“But if you remember, for the last couple of weeks I have been saying that Kieran Tierney could play left centre half for Celtic, if they were going to keep Greg Taylor.
“Although Andy, obviously, would love to come back and play for Celtic, I just can’t see that happening, to be honest. I am going to say not at all. I think Kieran Tierney is going to stay there for years and years.
“I risk contradicting myself when I say this, but I think Kieran Tierney’s best position is left-back. But I think, if needs must, a game here and there. He can go into centre-back and play there. I don’t think Kieran would want to do that for a full season.
“That’s why I don’t think someone of the calibre of Andy Robertson will be brought to the club.”
Robertson’s Liverpool career coming to an end?
Robertson’s contract at Liverpool expires in 2026, and there has been noise around his future during the 2025 summer transfer window.
There is talk that Arne Slot, who won the Premier League title in his first season at Anfield, is going to sign Bournemouth left-back Milo Kerkez.
That’s why there are suggestions that Robertson could join Atlético Madrid, with Diego Simeone keen on the Scotland international.
But if that doesn’t happen, then there are some noises around whether Celtic would be keen to bring him back where it all started.
