Saint-Etienne have reportedly reached a full agreement to sign Celtic target Jakob Breum.
The Go Ahead Eagles midfielder has reportedly been a target for the Hoops over each of the last three transfer windows, in what has developed into a year-long saga.
Last summer, the club’s sporting director Marc van Hintum publicly mocked Celtic’s attempts to sign Breum, drawing unfavourable comparisons between them and Rangers’ attempts to sign Oliver Antman.
Celtic reportedly planned to reignite their interest this year after sending bids in January, but they have missed out in the end.
🤦♂️ Still no sign of an agreement for either of these two Celtic favourites to stay…

Saint-Etienne schedule medical for Jakob Breum
According to Santi Aouna of French outlet Foot Mercato, a full agreement has been reached between GA Eagles and the French side for the transfer of Breum.
He has agreed a four-year deal with the option of a further, and a medical has been scheduled.

Narrowly missing out on promotion from Ligue 2 this season, Saint-Etienne have recently appointed ex-Hearts boss Ian Cathro as their new manager.
He was reportedly valued at £4 million this summer; Celtic have previously sent bids worth less than half of that figure.
No fee is mentioned in the report. Breum is 22 and was in the final year of his contract with the Dutch club. He racked up eleven goal contributions from midfield as Go Ahead finished 12th this season.
He has six under-21 caps for Denmark to his name, and has been linked with Manchester United in the past.
Speaking to Dutch outlet Destentor earlier this season, Breum reflected on the saga last summer, and didn’t seem too bothered.
He said: “To be honest, it wasn’t a huge issue for me.
“Of course, when reports appear in the media after you haven’t heard anything for a month and family members ask if you’re going, it’s strange.
“But I tried to remain professional and also told the manager that I really wanted to play for this club. Hopefully, everyone saw that during that period.”
