It seems as though Celtic are still keen to add to the striker department despite the arrival of Callum Osmand.
With Adam Idah, Johnny Kenny and Osmand on board, after his transfer from Fulham, it seems as though Celtic have now turned their attentions to Italy.
Whilst the Celtic Park faithful would love for the club to sign a more experienced and proven hitman, it looks as though the powers that be are still fishing in the younger age market.
That is why reports have emerged about the champions of Scotland expressing interest in Napoli striker Giuseppe Ambrosino.
But what are those in Italy saying about it all?

How Giuseppe Ambrosino feels about a Celtic transfer
Ambrosino’s season finished in late June because he was competing at the U21 European Championships for Italy – they were knocked out in the quarter-finals by Germany.
Sky Italy journalist Luca Bendoni has reported on Celtic’s interest in the 21-year-old and how a ‘potential loan’ deal is on the table.
What is even more encouraging for Rodgers and Celtic is that Ambrosino is seemingly ‘keen’ on the move to Glasgow.
‘Celtic have inquired about a potential loan + option deal for Napoli and Italy U21 striker, Giuseppe Ambrosino,’ wrote Bendoni. ‘Player keen on the move. Serie A sides are also interested.’
Who is Napoli’s rising star Ambrosino?
Just like Osmand, the Celtic fans are going to have little to no knowledge about Ambrosino, and they will want to know everything about the player.
The Procida-born striker is yet to make a senior appearance for Napoli, and has been loaned out four times after starting his senior career in 2022.
| Club | Games | Goals | Assists |
|---|---|---|---|
| Napoli U19 | 52 | 27 | 9 |
| Frosinone | 37 | 5 | 4 |
| Catanzaro | 28 | 3 | 2 |
| Cittadella | 15 | 1 | 2 |
| Napoli U17 | 9 | 2 | 2 |
| Como | 4 | 1 | – |
That includes a loan spell at Serie B side, Frosinone Calcio, last season, as they maintained their status in Italy’s second tier.
Ambrosino has far more experience and exposure at the senior level than Osmand, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if it divides opinion because fans crave something more proven.
