There will be no more Celtic transfer arrivals in the current window beyond Jonjoe Kenny, Sky Sports have reported.
The Bhoys have strengthened the right-back position after the departure of Jeremie Frimpong.
However, the recruitment team have badly failed in the quest to recruit a centre-back.
Christopher Jullien is injured for the majority of the rest of the season. Shane Duffy’s form is dreadful. Nir Bitton’s isn’t much better.
Yet, despite this, Celtic haven’t signed a central defender.
They came close yesterday with a move for Ben Davies, but he has ultimately signed for Liverpool.
There were links to Tottenham Hotspur defender Japhet Tangana earlier today but he will stay under the watchful eye of Jose Mourinho.
Now, Sky Sports appear to have confirmed there will be no more last-minute business at Celtic Park.
Despite the announcement of Kenny, it’s a disappointing end to the transfer window, to say the least.

No-one was expecting a blockbuster signing given the uncertain leadership situation at the club.
However, to not even get a capable body in to provide cover in defence puts serious pressure on the backline for the rest of the season.
Hopefully, the signing of Kenny at least allows Kristoffer Ajer to move back into the heart of the defence.
