Celtic loanee Alexandro Bernabei departed for Internacional at the start of the year, and it is fair to say he has made an impression in Brazil.
After a series of erratic displays for the Bhoys, the Argentina Under-23 international has since gone on to make 20 appearances in South America, registering three goals and three assists.
According to reports, Celtic want a fee of £8.32 million for Alexandro Bernabei, with the player keen to stay amid the opportunity to play Copa Libertadores football.
With the Celtic loanee unlikely to have a long-term future at the Scottish Premiership champions, finding a solution that suits all parties will be a priority for Brendan Rodgers and company.
Now, Internacional Sporting Director Andre Mazzuco has addressed Bernabei’s situation as speculation surrounding his name continues.

Speaking to Internacional’s official website, Maccuzo spoke out about Bernabei’s future and indicated confidence that his side can keen the Argentinian full-back on board.
He states “He is one of the main players on our team, everyone knows that it is a difficult negotiation.
“I can make it clear to the fans that we will make every possible effort to keep him at Beira-Rio it is one of our greatest desires to have the Bernabei next season.
“We are confident in the context, he is happy here, he is important to the squad and is having a wonderful time.”

When a player leaves on loan to gain regular first-team football, the main ambition from their parent club is to see good performances that, in turn, elevate their value and marketability.
It goes without saying, but Bernabei has certainly has an impact at Internacional, delivering on some of the potential that saw Celtic spend £3.75 million on the Argentinian back in 2022.
Ultimately, his spell in Glasgow hasn’t worked out, but being able to recoup a handsome fee for his services is a scenario that would benefit everyone.
