Sigur, 28, is a defensive midfielder at the Croatian giants and had been linked as the perfect candidate to come in and play alongside Callum McGregor.
According to Croatian journalist Izak Ante Sucic, the change in manager means that other targets are more likely to be pursued and a deal for the midfielder was being put on ice.
To add to that, Hajduk have also chosen to loan out Fran Karacic, meaning that the Canadian is more likely to stay, unless an irresistible offer comes in.

As impressive as McGregor has been, the 32-year-old has shown signs of age catching up to him.
In the 3-4-3 formation under Nancy, the captain looked leggy and missing some support alongside him in the middle of the park.
He was partnered alongside two others in the win against Dundee United, but he needs some genuine support.
Sooner rather than later, Celtic are going to need someone who can fill the void that the skipper will eventually leave.
