Kelechi Iheanacho has refused to explain why a move to Celtic in January failed to materialise.
The Hoops were linked with a very late swoop for the Nigerian striker, with 67 Hail Hail revealing at the time that a loan deal was being targeted.
But it was soon known that Iheanacho was heading to Middlesbrough on loan instead, with the Celtic switch dead in the water.
Iheanacho, of course, has now signed for Celtic permanently after finishing up at the Riverside Stadium and getting released by Sevilla.
He scored the winner for Celtic against Kilmarnock on his debut. But afterwards, he wasn’t keen on divulging exactly why the January loan to Parkhead broke down.

Iheanacho refuses to explain failed Celtic loan in January
Iheanacho told the press after being asked why that he wasn’t up for talking about it and wants to just focus on the future at Celtic.
He admits that he wanted to join the Bhoys in January due to the size of the club and knowing Brendan Rodgers from their time at Leicester City.
However, the loan just didn’t work out. He said: “We don’t need to talk about that now, we just need to put that aside and move on to the future.
“Of course, I always wanted to come to Celtic. It’s a massive club and obviously I know the manager as well. It didn’t work out that time, but now I think it’s the right time.”
Iheanacho was set to be Kyogo’s much-needed replacement
Celtic were desperately seeking a striker in January after Kyogo was allowed to leave for £10m to Stade Rennais.
The Hoops were linked with David Strelec and Iheanacho, with a £7.9m bid reportedly rejected by Slovan Bratislava for the Slovakian hitman.
Ironically, Strelec has now signed for Middlesbrough and is effectively a replacement for Iheanacho, who only scored once in 15 games on loan.
Iheanacho now could be an absolute bargain of a replacement for Kyogo given he was signed as a free agent, but time will tell.
