Celtic’s wide department could and should look entirely different for the 2025/26 season.
Nicolas Kuhn is leaving, Jota is out injured for the long term, the versatile Benjamin Nygren has signed, and more wingers could be on their way.
Even before Kuhn’s expected transfer to Como, there was a need for more added depth and quality to be brought in out wide.
And now, with the 2025 summer transfer window in full flow, it’s paramount that at least two wingers sign ahead of the new campaign.
Three names have already done the rounds.

Rapid Vienna want ‘£10 million’ for Isak Jansson
One of the fresh names on Celtic’s transfer wishlist is Isak Jansson, who is a winger from Rapid Vienna, and he is also a Sweden U21 international.
The fee Como could pay for Kuhn is close to the £17 million mark, and Celtic might have to pay more than half of that for Jansson.
Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph has shared on social media that Vienna are seeking ‘£10 million’ for their winger amid interest in his services from across Europe.
Which other wingers are Celtic talking to?
Other names that Celtic fans would have heard or seen during this past month are Sondre Orjasaeter and Michel-Ange Balikwisha.
Amid the news about Jansson, Sky Sports also shared that Celtic have ‘held talks’ with Orjasaeter and Balikwisha.
Now, with the champions of Scotland needing more than one winger for the new season, the answer to the club’s winger problems could lie with the above players.
