Reports around the Adam Idah to Celtic situation accelerated on Thursday night as the Bhoys returned to the negotiating table with Norwich City.
After a successful spell on loan last season, both Idah and Celtic have made no secret of the fact they want to pursue a permanent move.
However, the saga has drawn on all summer with Norwich apparently moving the goalposts on a potential fee after Idah became an important member of Brendan Rodgers’ squad.
Having had an initial offer of £4.5m refused last month, Celtic have now gone back in for the Republic of Ireland international.
This latest push could be make or break. If the Scottish champions are again rebuffed by the Canaries then they have to seriously consider moving on to other targets.
How much Celtic have been offering for Idah
The Scottish Sun reports that Celtic’s highest offer to date has been a total package worth around £5.5m, with Norwich looking for more than £6m.
The Scottish Daily Mail recently reported that the Championship club could be holding out for a deal up to £8m, inclusive of add-ons.
So, this is far from a guarantee. Fans will have to wait a bit longer to find out if that breakthrough has been made.

Adam Idah contract won’t be a problem for Celtic
It’s said personal terms with Idah won’t be a problem so you can imagine the striker arriving quite quickly after any agreement with Norwich is reached.
He’ll be eager to join up with his former teammates again, whom he struck up a good rapport with in the second half of last season.
Idah’s nine goals were crucial in sealing the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup, so everyone is excited to see what he can accomplish with a full season of development under Rodgers.
