The Honduran enjoyed a decent start to his Celtic career as Palma knocked in 10 goals and provided another 10 assists in his first four months in Paradise.

However, performances and goals quickly dried up and a loan spell away from Celtic at Olympiacos didn’t do enough to engineer a move to Greece despite Palma helping them win the league.
But in order for Poznan to make Celtic a decent offer for Palma, a report from Poland has outlined two big hurdles the Ekstraklasa club need to meet to even start a proper transfer conversation.
The Lech Poznan conditions to take Luis Palma from Celtic permanently
Poznan want Palma, of that there is no doubt. But in order to make it happen, two conditions must be met in order to facilitate the €4.5m deal Celtic want.
Kanal Sportowy reports, “Lech Poznań spokesman Maciej Henszel openly revealed in November that the Honduran international’s buyout fee would double Kolejorz’s transfer record.
“Since the transfer fee is Yannick Agnero, who was paid around €2.3 million, Palma’s transfer would cost around €4.5 million.
“To achieve this, Lech must certainly qualify for European competitions for next season, as well as make some major sales.”

Celtic fans would assume that any current player will be given a chance by Wilfried Nancy in his first season at the club.
With players like Palma, Odin Thiago Holm and even Stephen Welsh due to return to Celtic at the end of the season, the Frenchman is likely to want to take a look at them before making a decision on their futures.

As for Palma, many will agree that the Honduran’s work rate is simply not good enough and with Nancy’s new system clearly needing his wingers to work hard in defence and attack, Palma is unlikely to fit.
‘But who knows? The Honduran could find his new sense of confidence from his spell in Poland as a springboard to help boost his Celtic future.
