A new update has emerged in Celtic’s reported attempt to sign Yaser Asprilla.
Celtic have been linked with Asprilla and is being tipped as an option to solve their problems on the right wing.
The Hoops confirmed their second addition of the winter transfer window after Tomas Cvancara completed a loan move to Parkhead.
Asprilla is playing in Spain with Girona and could cost a pretty penny in terms of Scottish football transfer fees, and now a new update on his future has emerged.

Yaser Asprilla: £16 million, Colombia international… sound good to you?
Yaser Asprilla could be available for a loan move
According to respected Celtic journalist Mark Hendry, the Hoops have been told that a move for Asprilla is possible.
Any permanent deal is unlikely, however, and a loan deal may be the more sensible option.
There is plenty of competition for the 22-year-old’s signature, with LaLiga, EFL and other European sides also monitoring his availability.
No decision has been made from Girona or the Colombian, but with a little over a week to go until the window closes, an answer will need to come sooner rather than later.
How much of a priority is a right-winger for Celtic in January?
Yaser Asprilla’s youth coach gave glowing endorsement of winger
The expectation would be that the winger would come in and make an instant impact at Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.
Although he is yet to fully realise his potential, Alberto Suarez told Blu Radio, via Goal.com, in 2022 that he expects big things from the wide man.
He said: “Yaser is a special player; we hadn’t seen players with Faustino Asprilla’s style for a while, since now they are more athletic and less skilful.
“He is a typical old-school player who knows how to play with his body. He is slim, but you try and kick him because he knows how to use his body, so to stop him you have to push or grab him, but kicking him is very tough for opponents.
