It’s that time of the year that every Celtic fan loves: transfer window season.
Last summer saw Brendan Rodgers make a host of signings, including a club-record arrival in the form of Arne Engels.
There was also the permanent addition of Adam Idah, who went on to bag 20 goals for the Hoops and boyhood fan Luke McCowan finally getting his chance to wear the green and white.
Celtic have been linked with a whole host of players already and supporters have called for a major clear-out at Celtic Park.
This year, the transfer window will have a slightly different look to it due to the new-look Club World Cup format taking place. Even though Celtic aren’t a part of it, the competition has affected the transfer window.
So, with that, 67 Hail Hail have all of the details for you in regards to the 2025 summer transfer window.

When does the 2025 summer transfer window open?
For the first time ever, the transfer window will be split across two different dates in order to align with the Club World Cup.
In fact, the first stage of the transfer window has already opened to Scottish Premiership clubs on 1 June as part of an ‘exceptional registration period’ allowing sides competing in the Club World Cup to register players.
That will then close on Thursday, 10 June before reopening again on Monday, 16 June.
When does the 2025 summer transfer window close?
Scottish and English clubs have worked in sync to close at the same time in recent years and that will be the case again this summer.
This year, the transfer window will close on Monday, 1 September at 7pm BST for sides in the Scottish Premiership, as well as Premier League and EFL clubs.
Can Celtic sign players outside of the transfer window?

In theory, yes they can. Players who are free agents can be signed at any time as they aren’t assigned to a team.
As for signing players who are contracted to other teams, the relevant paperwork has to be submitted before the deadline, allowing teams an extra hour to finalise the transfer.
What is a deal sheet?
A deal sheet is the process used by clubs to allow them extra time to complete a transfer.
They can’t be used until the final two hours (in this case, 5pm BST) and must arrive to the Scottish Football Association before the deadline, in full, to allow extra time on the transfer.
Clubs will have then have a limited window of two extra hours to finalise the deal once the transfer window officially closes.
How many loan signings can Celtic make in the 2025 summer transfer window?
Although Celtic will predominantly focus on signing players on a permanent basis, they’re not afraid to delve into the loan market.
Alex Valle and Jeffrey Schlupp were both loan additions for the 24/25 campaign and could look to use it again in order to build out the depth of the side.
Scottish Premiership clubs can sign a total of six players on loan for the season and are allowed a maximum of two from any divisional rivals.
