Celtic appear to be ramping up their transfer plans this season and are looking at the South American market.
Wilfried Nancy will be hoping for a busy month so that he can finally find the players after a less than ideal start to his managerial tenure.
According to Carve Deportivo, Nacho Laquintana is on the Hoops’ radar and would add an extra dimension to an attacking team that is lacking any sort of bite up front.
Not many people will know about the Uruguay star, so 67 Hail Hail has everything you need to know on the brand-new link.

Nacho Laquintana birthplace, age, height and weight
Ignacio Jesus Laquintana Marsico was born on 1 February, 1999 in Paysandu, Uruguay and is 26 years old at the time of writing.
He currently stands at 173cm tall, or five feet and eight inches, which would make him one of the smaller players in the side.
According to World Football, he weighs 70kg.
What position does Nacho Laquintana play in?
Laquintana plays as an attacking midfielder, usually operating in the right wing role, but is also capable of playing in the middle or on the left.
Last season, all 34 of his appearances came as a right winger, where he scored four goals and registered six assists in all competitions.
Who has Nacho Laquintana played for?
Currently at Red Bull Bragantino in Brazil, Laquintana has spent time there and in his homeland of Uruguay.
He began his career with Defensor Sporting and made his debut in September 2018, scoring two goals in five games.
His form led to him joining Uruguay’s biggest club Penarol, winning the league in 2021 and then the SuperCopa Uruguay a year later.
How many signings do Celtic need in January?
Red Bull Bragantino then came calling in 2023 but the winger was dealt a huge setback after breaking his ankle in his second appearance.
That saw him lose his place in the side and, in 2024, Laquintana joined Santos on loan to play regular football.
