Celtic’s attack is in desperate need of some help ahead of the January transfer window.
As Wilfried Nancy looks to build the Celtic team in his image, much-needed reinforcements in the forward areas would be a great place to start.
Johnny Kenny’s form has come in for some criticism, but in reality, this is simply unfair on a player who has been handed a responsibility he is not ready for.
Nancy’s success at Columbus Crew is the main reason why he is here – so if he wants to replicate it in Glasgow, signing some of his old players might not be a bad idea.
And in the form of Uruguayan star Diego Rossi, that could be exactly what is going to happen.

Diego Rossi could follow Wilfried Nancy to Celtic
Reports on Boxing Day surprisingly claimed that Rossi is ‘heading to Celtic’, due to the influence of his former manager.
These reports were from the Turkish media, so were surprisingly taken with a pinch of salt by many.

But the Daily Record have now confirmed that Nancy is keen to reunite with Rossi, who started almost every game in which he was available at Columbus.
An attacking midfielder-striker hybrid, Rossi scored 16 goals in the season just finished in MLS.
With Marcelo Bielsa notoriously not a huge fan of MLS, Rossi has struggled for Uruguay caps of late, despite his starring performances in Columbus.
With Marcelo Saracchi earning caps at Celtic, the opportunity to join his countryman could be perfect ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
Rossi first moved to the US in 2018, joining LAFC. Three years later, he made his first move to Europe, joining Fenerbahce.
Columbus paid £5 million to take him back across the Atlantic in 2023, but a move to Glasgow could be coming next for the forward.
That’s if Celtic can pay up financially – Rossi wouldn’t come cheap.

Wessam Abou Ali has been linked to Celtic too – the Palestinian striker only moved to Columbus in the summer, but could be tempted to reunite with Nancy.
If a left-wing-back is what Nancy wants, USA international Max Arfsten could also be of interest. The 24-year-old was also ever-present in the Frenchman’s last season in charge.
And with Kasper Schmeichel’s future uncertain, fellow USA man Patrick Schulte could be a suitable goalkeeper for Nancy’s system.
