The Celtic board are bracing themselves for another manager hunt as Women’s manager Elena Sadiku is set for ‘shock exit’.
Sadiku created history by being the first manager to lead Celtic Women to the 2023/24 league title after Fran Alonso came close the season before.
Celtic Women made Champions League history the following season by participating in UEFA’s elite tournament against the likes of Chelsea despite losing to the English Premier League champions.
And now, it seems the Celtic Women’s boss is set to leave the club with Swedish side BK Hacken the front runners to land the legendary manager.

Elena Sadiku set to leave Celtic for BK Hacken
Sadiku’s Celtic have struggled this season and despite beating Hibs at the weekend, the Ghirls are sitting fourth in the SWPL, seven points from league leaders Glasgow City.
With 10 wins in 14, Celtic sit seven points adrift with Rangers and Hearts sandwiched between. But it seems that Sadiku’s time is set to be over after journalist Alison McConnell sent an update on social media.
McConnell said on X, “Celtic women’s manager Elena Sadiku is set for a shock exit from the club with Swedish side BK Häcken keen on her services.
“Sadiku took Celtic to their first SWPL title and into the group stages of the UWCL for the first time but has been under pressure across recent months.”
Sadiku recently expressed her unhappiness at how Celtic Women’s team are falling behind as other clubs in the league invest more money into their squads.
And it appears she’s had enough, if this move goes through.
