Celtic’s transfer business has come sharply into focus over the course of the last few days.

As Brendan Rodgers looks to tie up a deal to bring Kasper Schmeichel to Celtic, the Parkhead club has also allowed Sead Haksabanovic to go to Malmo and sanctioned a move for Hyeongyu Oh to kick-start his career at Belgian side, Genk.

On top of all that, Celtic have lost Rocco Vata to Watford and are showing continued patience on Daniel Kelly agreeing to a new contract extension at the club.

It’s all kicking off and there have been plenty of headlines but there is one Parkhead exit that has happened this summer that has gone completely unnoticed by the Celtic fans and the media.

With nine caps for Scotland between U17 and U19 level [SFA], Luyeye had a promising career ahead of him.

The youngster had a starring role in the famous 2023 Glasgow Youth Cup final 6-4 win over Rangers when he created an assist for Celtic’s sixth goal in the Hampden win.

Luyeye was a product of the Celtic academy and just last year he was selected for Billy Stark’s U18 team and played in the 2-2 draw with Wales.

Now a free agent [BBC], it seems that Luyeye left Celtic at the end of May to try and get first-team football after a successful first season for the Celtic B team in the Lowland League.

Hopefully, the promising defender will find a new club soon where he can realise his talent and showcase his skills.

For now, Luyeye is still without a club but with his raw talent, I am sure it will be just a matter of time before he is picked up and finds a new home.
