The year 2024 was a blessed one for Celtic.

And as 2025 rolls in, everyone is hoping that it’s going to be filled with more glory, entertainment and trophies.

There have been some massive wins under Brendan Rodgers, the biggest was scoring seven against Dundee in February, whilst a few teams have been hit for six, including Celtic outclassing Aberdeen in the League Cup semi-final.

In Europe, whilst the Bhoys were on the wrong end of that Borussia Dortmund hiding, the fans still got to witness five goals scored on the opening night of the revamped Champions League when Slovan Bratislava were put to the sword.

Here at 67 Hail Hail, we take a look at which players have topped the goalscoring charts for Celtic in 2024.

Daizen Maeda, 19 goals

Daizen Maeda has probably been Celtic’s best player in 2024 and he has been at the heart of some incredible moments.

Only just recently, the all-action winger scored in normal time of the League Cup final win over Rangers, before netting the trophy-winning spot-kick.

All of it has resulted in Maeda scoring 19 goals in all competitions and topping the charts ahead of his teammates.

Adam Idah, 17 goals

Adam Idah signed for Celtic permanently in the summer after impressing during his six-month loan spell last season.

The Republic of Ireland international’s most memorable goal was that dramatic late winner in the Scottish Cup final against Rangers – and it won’t get any better than that.

But what’s interesting is that Idah’s 17 goals are the same as Kyogo Furuhashi’s, but the man brought in from Norwich City has done it by playing nearly less than half the time.

Kyogo Furuhashi, 17 goals

For several years, Kyogo has led the line for Celtic without any real threat of anyone taking his place.

But Idah is in the building now and he has his work cut out. Even though the Japanese star has produced better goalscoring calendar years, he still has 17 strikes to his name.

Nicolas Kuhn, 15 goals

To think Nicolas Kuhn struggled for six months at Celtic, yet he has still managed to find the back of the net on 15 occasions.

It could be argued that the German is perhaps the first name on the teamsheet and his brace against RB Leipzig in the Champions League stands above them all.

That speed and direct play on the flanks is too hot to handle and it’s a key reason why Celtic are pushing for the Treble this season.

And whilst we talk about Kuhn’s goals, you have to also remember that he has an incredible 14 assists to his name for the year 2024.
