67 Hail Hail decided to ask our fans on TalkingPoints if they believe that Celtic would have beaten Falkirk with Wilfried Nancy in charge.

Celtic edged past Falkirk thanks to Benjamin Nygren’s first-half header so that they could keep the pressure on league leaders Hearts.

Martin O’Neill has won more points than any other Celtic manager this season, even though he has only taken charge of six league games.

Although the performance wasn’t vintage, the effort levels and determination to get over the line with three points were night and day compared to what we saw under Nancy.

So, with that, we asked supporters if they thought that the Hoops would’ve won that game had the Frenchman been in charge.

67 Hail Hail fans think Celtic would have lost to Falkirk with Wilfried Nancy in charge

It says a lot about Nancy’s time at Celtic that O’Neill has already matched the number of wins he managed in his entire eight-game stint in Glasgow.

Results were dire, and so were performances and Hoops fans think that they would have fallen to defeat against Falkirk if he was still here.

One fan said: “Absolutely not.”

Another added: “Not in his life time.”

A third commented: “We’d have been hammered under Nancy.”

Results over performances matter for Celtic

Everybody’s dream would be to pick up wins and do so in style, but that isn’t always the case.

Some games will be hard-fought and that is exactly what Wednesday night was.

O’Neill himself admitted that the Hoops were fortunate to win the game.

However, three points on the board keeps the title hopes alive, and every Celtic fan would prefer to be top of the table now as opposed to playing nice football and losing.
