The time is nearing before Celtic and Rangers lock horns for one final time this season.

By the time the whistle is blown in the Glasgow derby on Sunday, everybody will have known the result of Hearts’ clash at Motherwell.

Yes, whenever Celtic and Rangers meet, it’s a huge occasion. But compared to previous years, a lot more is riding on this one, and our 67 Hail Hail writers are emphatic on what the result will be.

You won’t be surprised to hear, but the high-flying Daizen Maeda is being backed to continue his scoring streak, including being backed to net a double from one of our writers.

Should Celtic re-appoint Neil Lennon as manager?

Chris Sutton has completely shut it down!

With so much on the line, O’Neill will have his team fired up. A win confirms third place for Rangers to ensure a disastrous end to their season, but more importantly, keeps the pressure on leaders Hearts.

I have a sneaky feeling this could be a big win. Maeda will grab a double with Kelechi Iheanacho adding a third.

Score prediction: Celtic 3-1 Rangers

Rangers’ hammer blow at Tynecastle should work in our favour here, with them having little to play for.

It’s been far too long a wait since we last won a derby in 90 minutes, and this is the perfect time to end that wait. Hopefully, a decent result for Motherwell will up the atmosphere a notch too.

Score prediction: Celtic 3-0 Rangers

Is this Celtic’s biggest test of mentality this season?

Who will be crucial to get the win?

Celtic's Northern Ireland coach Martin O'Neill looks on prior to the start of the UEFA Europa League knockout round playoff second leg football match VfB Stuttgart v Celtic in Stuttgart, southern Germany, on February 26, 2026.

O’Neill is unbeaten in three matches against an under-fire Rohl, and I expect that to continue here.

If Celtic can score early, then I think everyone could be in for a bit of a fun afternoon, and three points will certainly be put on the table.

I think that will happen, and an in-form Maeda will be behind that, so I am going for a comfortable Celtic win, with Maeda, Arne Engels, Auston Trusty and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scoring.

Let’s just hope it’s the perfect weekend and Celtic loanee Stephen Welsh works his magic again by helping Motherwell to beat Hearts.

Score prediction: Celtic 4-1 Rangers
