It’s the same old story in Glasgow as Celtic continue to dominate proceedings.
Some were waiting for Thursday’s Glasgow derby for Rangers to embarrass themselves but they have already done that over the Christmas period.
On Boxing Day, the Gers were beaten by St Mirren and then Philippe Clement watched his side drop points at Motherwell on Sunday, as Celtic scored eight goals and picked up two wins during that period.
It all means that, heading into the Ibrox showdown, Celtic are 14 points clear of their rivals in the table and you suspect it will be a lot more as the weeks and months progress.
Just for entertainment purposes, you would like Clement still to be in a job on Thursday, so Celtic and Rodgers can see him off for one last time.

This now becomes about how many points will Celtic win the title by, rather than if they will win it, with Savage stating on BBC’s 606 that ‘it’s all over’.
At first, Sutton asked on Twitter ‘can anyone stop Liverpool or Celtic?’, with the English Premier League side putting five goals past West Ham United and going eight points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand.
Sutton added about Scottish football that it was a ‘sorry day for Rangers’ and questioned Clement’s job.
“North of the border, oooh, sorry to say it, Rob (Savage), but what is going on at Rangers,” asked Sutton. “Celtic now 14 points clear. They play Rangers on Thursday. Is it all over already, north of the border?!
Savage interrupted in the background: “It’s all over, yeah, it’s all over.”
Sutton added: “And Rangers fans, do you want to see your manager stay in place, Philippe Clement?! But a sorry old day for Rangers.”
Celtic are winning the Premiership title with their eyes closed
Celtic resume Champions League action on 22 January and it allows Rodgers to freely rotate his strongest XI around that period.
The Irishman can play as weak XI as possible around that period and focus solely on Europe – and the same for the trip to Aston Villa on January 29.
The simple reason is that Celtic are winning the Premiership title with their eyes closed and are heading towards going 17 points clear after the New Year.
It could and probably will be a lot more by the time the Villa game comes about.
