Sebastian Tounekti has made an outstanding start to his Celtic career.
On paper, Tounekti’s numbers might not do him justice, but he is starting to make that left flank his own, as he proved against Rangers in the League Cup semi-final on Sunday.
Celtic downed Rangers’ sinking ship by beating Danny Rohl’s men in extra-time, and booking their Hampden final ticket against Stephen Robinson’s St Mirren.
St Mirren put four goals past Motherwell on Saturday to get to the showpiece event, with Andy Halliday an unused substitute for the losing side.
24 hours later, he was in the Open Goal studios watching the Celtic v Rangers game live, and he shared some interesting thoughts.

Andy Halliday slams Nasser Djiga’s performance against Sebastian Tounekti
After Halliday’s meltdown over the red card incidents, he then turned his attention to what mattered most, and that was the performances on the pitch.
Nasser Djiga came under fire from Halliday, who claimed that the Rangers man had ‘one of the worst halves’ you will ever see in Glasgow derby history.
The Motherwell player was explaining the issues Celtic were causing him, especially Tounekti, who was beating him for fun.
Even though Halliday called for Djiga to be hauled off at half-time of normal time, it wasn’t until extra time that Rohl took him off, and by then, Callum McGregor had produced the magic, before Callum Osmand followed suit from the bench.
“This isn’t even an exaggeration, Djiga is having one of the worst halves I’ve seen in Glasgow derby history,” said Halliday.
“I’m not even joking. He is just getting stepped inside. Balls in behind. Not reacting right. Look at how easy this is for Tounekti to get inside him.
“I mean, honestly, he has to come off at half-time.”
