There has been a lot of negative noise around Celtic’s summer transfer business.
Mainly because of how the Celtic board have gone about their ways, from the timings of signings coming in to how departed players have or haven’t been replaced.
Whilst there have been many issues, you can’t take away from the fact that Celtic know how to pick up a gem from the market.
And many are hoping, after watching Celtic’s late win over Kilmarnock on Sunday at Rugby Park, that another has entered the building because it’s needed.

Sebastian Tounekti is already ‘enjoying himself’ at Celtic
Brendan Rodgers threw Sebastian Tounekti straight into the deep end against Killie, and from the get-go, he looked and played like someone who belonged.
Tounekti produced a Man of the Match display and put aside the pressure of playing for the champions of Scotland; this was easy work for the Tunisian international.
Cillian Sheridan lauded Celtic’s new boy as a ‘really good player’, and how he was just ‘enjoying himself’ playing in the famous green and white colours.
“You can tell Tounekti is enjoying himself,” said Sheridan on BBC Sport. “He’s committing Kilmarnock defenders.
“He looks like a really good player.”
What Tounekti said after Celtic’s win over Kilmarnock
There is still a long way to go, but hopefully, this is the first of many strong performances from Tounekti.
Given the mess Celtic made of bringing in wide players this summer, Yang’s struggles, James Forrest’s age and Jota’s long-term injury, there is more pressure on the new faces through the doors.
‘Proud to play my first @celticfc game today,’ wrote Tounekti. ‘Happy to take all 3 points back home 🍀’
