Celtic just can’t stop scoring at the minute!

That was showcased again on Saturday when Celtic beat Raith Rovers 5-0 in the Scottish Cup and prepared for the Bayern Munich match in the best way possible.

As expected, Brendan Rodgers freshened up his XI after putting six past Dundee in midweek, including starting the fringe players and handing first starts to academy players and January signings.

Youngster Dane Murray and deadline-day arrival Jeffrey Schlupp were two of those, including another start for winger, Hyunjun Yang.

The 22-year-old is still trying to adapt and showcase that he belongs in Celtic colours, as he continues to sit in and out of the XI.

Yes, it was against a lower-league side, but against Raith Rovers, Yang produced one of his best performances yet.

Yang scored and assisted twice against Raith Rovers to provide himself with some much-needed confidence.

Rodgers explained how it’s a ‘big challenge’ for the South Korean star to play and perform – with goals and assists – for a club like Celtic.

But the Irishman added, from what he saw against Raith, he was ‘pleased’ for the man with the number 13 shirt, as he told Celtic TV.

“He made the finish look easy than what it was,” said Rodgers. “It was a really good ball in by Tony (Ralston), but he has to make up the ground to get there and finish.

“Really pleased for him. It’s a big challenge playing for a club this size because you have to produce as a wide player. You have to create goals. Score goals and work hard. It’s nice for him to get that today.”

Yang’s stats for Celtic this season

Yang has boosted his confidence ahead of that Bayern match, but still won’t be expected to start, even with Maeda suspended.

You suspect that Jota will play on the left, Adam Idah in the middle and Nicolas Kuhn running down the right wing.

But Yang should expect to be the first change from the bench, and with only five goal involvements this season, if he can add anything against Bayern, then he will be lauded by everyone.
