Jeffrey Schlupp was Celtic’s only transfer deadline day signing this year.
The defender arrived at Parkhead on a six-month loan deal from Crystal Palace in the final few minutes of the January window deadline.
Fans had their say on Schlupp’s arrival as the Ghana international, 32, was welcomed with open arms even though there was a frustration that a striker did not also join him.
Manager Brendan Rodgers might also have been kicking himself on the attacker situation although Michael Stewart may have explained the exact reason for a lack of movement where a forward was concerned.
But Schlupp was a necessary signing as the presumed left-back challenger for Greg Taylor‘s spot after Arsenal refused to allow Kieran Tierney to join Celtic in the January window.

There were some concerns that left-back may not be Schlupp’s best position on the pitch with one pundit claiming the player would admit as much himself.
And now the former Leicester City star has revealed where he finds himself most comfortable on the park.
The left-hand side of defence is one spot he reckons he is happy playing but Schlupp has explained other positions he has played where he has thrived.
But he knows he may be asked to play elsewhere which is something he is more than willing to do for the Scottish champions.
Where Jeffrey Schlupp sees as best position for Celtic
“Throughout my career, I think I’ve played everywhere apart from goalkeeper, but for the main part, I’ve always been sort of left-sided,” he said in an interview with Celtic TV.
“So whether that’s left midfield, left side of a midfield three, I’ve played in a pivot before and obviously I’ve had a lot of games at left-back as well, so anywhere along the left, I’ve always felt really comfortable.
“I’ve played many games at left-back, many games sort of in a left number eight position. And obviously in a front three, I’ve played on the left side and right side as well.
“But I’m comfortable playing anywhere, so wherever the manager would like me to play, I’ll do that, and hopefully I can do a great job for the team.”
