Celtic are champions of Scotland once again after avoiding defeat against Dundee United.
A point was needed to become Scottish Premiership champions and Brendan Rodgers’ men got the job done at Tannadice.
The party can finally begin at Celtic Park and the Bhoys are one trophy away from another Treble-winning season.
Rodgers may have been frustrated the title wasn’t won earlier but when you are Celtic manager, winning it is all that matters.
It’s title number 55 in the club’s history and the magic number means they are closing in on an incredible European record.

Celtic within touching distance of Linfield title record
Beating your rivals to any accolade is always a sense of achievement.
Whether it be Rangers or Hearts, Linfield are also one of those. Known for holding the most domestic top flight titles in Europe, the Hoops are now two behind that total, with Linfield sat on 57 league titles after winning their respective league this season
Both sides will now be gunning to take that top spot and it would be all the more sweeter for Celtic if they can do it against a long-standing rival.
Not only would they be ahead of the Northern Irish Premiership champions, they’ll also have the most top-flight titles out of Europe’s top 40 leagues.
| Club | Number of titles |
| Linfield | 57 |
| Celtic, Rangers | 55 |
| Olympiacos | 48 |
| Benfica | 38 |
| Juventus, Ajax, Real Madrid, Red Star Belgrade | 36 |
| Ferencvaros, Dinamo Zagreb, Sparta Prague | 35 |
| Anderlecht | 34 |
| Rapid Wien, Bayern Munich, HJK | 33 |
Celtic could meet Linfield in the Champions League next season
Given the change in coefficient, Celtic’s Champions League campaign will start earlier in the play-off qualifying rounds in order to secure their place in the League Phase.
At this moment in time, the Bhoys don’t know if they will be seeded an unseeded for the draw, but it does present the opportunity to potentially face Linfield.
Due to their coefficient, Linfield will enter at an earlier qualifying round and if the two do face each other, it will be the first time since 2017.
The Bhoys hammered them 6-0 on aggregate and would be heavy favourites if they met again.
