Celtic fans have protested against the club’s Head of Safety, Security and Operations, Mark Hargreaves, in their game against Motherwell.
Hargreaves has been at the centre of this season’s significant breakdown in relations between the club’s upper management and the Green Brigade.
After last week’s disorderly events at Ibrox, the Celtic Fans Collective said Hargreaves’ position was ‘untenable’ after he was “inexplicably absent” from the match.
He has also been present at many of Celtic’s recent meetings with the Collective and the GB, but there has been little evidence of any meaningful progress in the situation.

Celtic fans protest Mark Hargreaves vs Motherwell
At Saturday’s 3-1 win against Motherwell, a banner reading ‘Hargreaves Out’ was on display.
It was visible in the curve between the Main Stand and the Jock Stein Stand, where the ‘Bhoys’ fan section are seated.

Just this week, Celtic have released an update on the Green Brigade’s situation, insisting that the ball is in the group’s court.
Interim Chairman Brian Wilson told Celtic TV: “We met with the Green Brigade and it was clear that the purpose of that meeting was to have a shared approach which would allow us to go to Glasgow City Council safety advisory group and to advocate for the group’s return.
“That meeting took place about three weeks ago.
“Celtic made that case and Police Scotland said they were not really prepared to go along with it.
“The two grounds for that included that the members of the Green Brigade had continued to attend most games in defiance of the suspensions.
“In that respect nothing had really changed but also that behaviours had not changed.
“And particularly behaviours towards police and stewards.
“We met again this week with the Green Brigade to explain this position to them and that the conclusion of that meeting of a safety advisory group was that conditions were set which would create the pathway for the return.
“We’ve communicated these to them and I think that they should accept them.
“If they accept them then they get into a dialogue into the policing and stewarding of the section and that creates a pathway to resolving this.
“We now await a response.”

Green Brigade Celtic ban: timeline
The Green Brigade have been banned from all Celtic matches since November, with an initial three-game lockout being extended indefinitely.
As the ban has drawn on, fans have waited patiently for a resolution, but a Celtic fan boycott against Dundee was called in solidarity with the group.
The Celtic Fans Collective organised the boycott, also demanding the resignation of Michael Nicholson.
Martin O’Neill confirmed a meeting between the club and fans ahead of last month’s Stuttgart tie, but this did not result in a resolution.
