Luke McCowan has already endeared himself to Celtic supporters and will have done even more ahead of the trip to Rangers this weekend.
In the final Old Firm clash of the season, Celtic travel to Ibrox as champions after winning the Scottish Premiership for a 55th time.
As part of the celebrations, McCowan’s girlfriend shared a wholesome photo of the lifelong Bhoys fans celebrating the league title win at Dundee United back in 2022.
All the talk in the build-up to the game is whether or not Rangers will give Brendan Rodgers’ side a guard of honour as an acknowledgement of the Bhoys’ success.
There’s different opinions all over, with Kris Boyd stating Rangers won’t give a guard of honour, to nobody’s surprise, while Alistair Johnston isn’t too bothered about Rangers congrulating the Hoops.

Luke McCowan trolls Rangers with guard of honour comment
Nobody will officially know until moments before kick off on Sunday May 4.
In recent years, both sides have refused to give each other a guard of honour but with Celtic the dominant force in Scotland right now, McCowan joked that the Bhoys won’t know what it feels like to give a guard of honour to their Old Firm rivals.
He said: “I don’t know how it would be if it was on the other foot.. we’ll never really know I don’t think.”
It’s a comment that’s gone down very well with Celtic supporters but, for those on the blue side of Glasgow, it’s only wound them up even more.
Luke McCowan issues rallying cry to Celtic teammates
Celtic may be champions but there are scores to settle against their bitter rivals.
Rangers won at Celtic Park last time out in a 3-2 encounter and the Hoops won’t want to suffer a defeat.
It will also be the first time away fans are back at Ibrox and McCowan wants his teammates to prove why they deserved to end up at the top of the tree.
“Ask anybody on the team our outwith those gates, your head-to-head against Rangers is always going to be important,” he continued.
“It’s about being consistent throughout your season. It’s about showing that you’re now champions, going into their patch and proving why you are and putting on a performance that shows that, so that’s the kind of goal for Sunday.
“Everybody was disappointed in the last two results against Rangers. There was no hiding that, no getting away from it.
