Celtic have released some important information for Tuesday’s Champions League opener against Feyenoord.
It’s an away game to kick off the campaign for Brendan Rodgers‘ side, and they will be backed by around 2,400 Celtic supporters in Rotterdam.
As anyone who has ever been on an away trip supporting the Bhoys will know, there’s a fair bit of planning to do. That extends to the day of the game, so supporters will be glad to find out some information directly from the club.
In a lengthy piece on the Celtic website, it is revealed that the Old Harbour area will be the meeting point in Rotterdam for Celtic supporters. That is said to be around a 90-minute walk from Feyenoord‘s De Kuip stadium.

Celtic fans will occupy five sections in the top tier of the arena with the gates opening two hours before kick-off. Alcohol will be sold inside the stadium, however, it will be low percentage stuff.
There will be a holdback of away supporters after the game although the club say the length of that will be decided during the match and communicated as soon as possible.

There is some more information that you can read here but the vast majority of it seems to be pretty fair. You would certainly expect the trip to the Netherlands to be one of the better fan experiences in Group E.
Now we just need to hope that the team can pick up a positive result and send the support home happy.
