Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team vs Motherwell for today’s Scottish Premiership fixture at Fir Park.
The full match squad is as follows:
Starting XI: Hart, Johnston, Nawrocki, Scales, Taylor, McGregor, Iwata, O’Riley, Kuhn, Kyogo, Maeda
Substitutes: Bain, Palma, Idah, Yang, Oh, Carter-Vickers, Bernardo, Kelly, Ralston
League business resumes today for Rodgers and the Celtic manager knows that anything less than a win against Stuart Kettlewell‘s men is unacceptable.
With Rangers’ lead at the top of the table stretched to five points, further slipups will not only make the retention of the title extremely difficult, but it will also enrage a Celtic support that made their feelings perfectly clear after the 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock last Saturday.
Rodgers makes four changes from the side that dropped points last weekend as Maik Nawrocki and Alistair Johnston start in place of Stephen Welsh and Anthony Ralston.
Tomoki Iwata comes into the Celtic midfield as Adam Idah drops to the bench with Nicolas Kuhn drafted into the right-hand side.

Instant verdict on Celtic team vs Motherwell
Brendan Rodgers needs a reaction from the team that fluffed their lines against Killie last week and he will certainly be hoping for that today.

Clearly, Rodgers sees the midfield and defence as an issue and the Celtic manager seems to have addressed the lack of ariel prowess in the defence with the inclusion of Nawrocki. The return of Johnston is a huge boost for the Celtic fans.
The midfield has been given a much-needed bit of bite with Iwata starting in beside McGregor and the Celtic fans will be hoping that this will give them the edge in what will be a battle at Fir Park.
What is also encouraging is that Kyogo seems to be back in his preferred lone-striker role and hopefully the Japanese talisman will get stay on the goal trail this afternoon.
