It’s -15 outside in Glasgow, as Celtic continue to showcase why they are the champions of Scotland.
It wasn’t so long ago that Brendan Rodgers witnessed an Ibrox horror show and he tasted only his second defeat in the Glasgow derby.
But sometimes, it’s not about how you get knocked down, but how you get back up and Celtic have got back to their feet in fine style.
That’s three wins on the bounce, including Celtic putting four goals past Ross County on Saturday and needing a late show to seal the points.
Kyogo Furuhashi was handed a new role by Rodgers and he netted a brace, whilst Arne Engels and Luke McCowan also added their name to the scoresheet.
Rodgers refreshed the XI again for injury reasons, including winger Hyunjun Yang being handed a start in Nicolas Kuhn and Daizen Maeda’s absence.
Chris Sutton says Hyunjun Yang’s confidence is growing in Celtic colours
It hasn’t quite clicked for Yang in Celtic colours following his arrival to the club from Gangwon during the summer of 2023.
But, over the festive period and since the turn of the New Year, he has been handed a fair few starts and Chris Sutton senses there are positive signs.
The former striker liked what he saw from Yang against Ross County and how he provides something ‘different’ to the team, as he told Sky Sports Football (11/01/25 at 2:50 pm).
Sutton admitted that Yang ‘hasn’t had enough good games’, but that Dingwall display proves that his confidence has ‘gone up a notch’.
“They (Celtic) are just absolutely ruthless,” said Sutton. “Brendan, they aren’t coming out and making excuses about injuries. Depleted in the wide areas.
“It was an important game for Yang (against Ross County). I really do mean that. He hasn’t had enough good games in a Celtic jersey.
“Alistair Johnston, as good as he was when the ball went out right, and the quality for the first goal. Yang gives them something different, in terms of, he has the ability to go past players. I thought he was a good outlet. Could he have been better with his final ball? We all agree that he possibly could. That’s really important for him, in terms of his confidence going up a notch.”

Yang’s stats for Celtic against Ross County
Kuhn is a prime example of how patience can result in such powerful results because he is now one of the first names on the team sheet.
Yang’s issue is that you can only wait so long and he did join the club before Kuhn, so everyone will be hoping his good work starts to explode sooner rather than later.
Either way, WhoScored rated the South Korean’s latest display at an impressive 8.01.
