It’s a day for celebrations at Celtic Park once again as they prepare to lift the Scottish Premiership trophy in front of the fans.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have been excellent all year long and will be rewarded with their second trophy of the 24/25 season.

Having wrapped up a Scottish League Cup as well as the Scottish Premiership, the Treble is on with the Scottish Cup final to come.

Rodgers has named a strong side for the game and on a day where Greg Taylor could be saying goodbye, it’s guaranteed to be emotional.

Chris Sutton is in an excellent mood as always, but couldn’t resist trolling his Sky Sports associate Kris Boyd online.

Chris Sutton trolls Kris Boyd ahead of Celtic vs St Mirren

Sutton is the chief wind-up merchant and has been able to laugh at Boyd’s expense for a number of years.

While the latter continues to be frustrated by Rangers’ struggles, Sutton continues to push his buttons and didn’t stop again on X.

Before kick-off, he wrote: “Looking forward to seeing Kris Boyd and the team at Celtic Park for Trophy Day… join us all paying our respect to Celtic for yet another title party.”

Despite this, Boyd wasn’t at Parkhead, with Celtic legends Stiliyan Petrov and Martin O’Neill on punditry duties instead.

Celtic looking to repeat St Mirren result from last season

Stephen Robinson is hoping to spoil Celtic’s party as St Mirren look to secure European football in back-to-back seasons.

Last year, the two teams met on the final day in which a stoppage time winner from Luis Palma secured a 3-2 win for the Hoops.

With plenty riding on the game for the away side, Celtic will still need to be at their best.
