Hibs come to Celtic Park on a day that 60,000 fans will be celebrating the club’s 55th title and fourth in a row.

Scotland’s most successful club continues to dominate domestically after Celtic won the league at Dundee United two weeks ago and bid to end the season with another treble.

With the Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen a matter of weeks away now, Celtic will rest players from now until then with Brendan Rodgers looking to give his fringe men some first-team minutes.

So what better chance for Hibs to try and earn a win as David Gray looks to end a dismal 15-year record many fans might not know about.

David Gray wants to end Hibs’ 15-year winless Celtic Park run

Hibs have not won at Celtic Park since the 2-1 win against Tony Mowbray’s side in January 2010. With Brendan Rodgers’ team looking relentless, that may not change any time soon.

However, Gray has shared how he plans to record Hibs’ first win since that date and end a Parkhead hoodoo that has seen Celtic record some big wins against the capital club.

Gray told The Herald, “Tactically you need to be spot on because you’re playing against a team that the slightest mistake you can be punished for.

“You’re playing against top players so that’s a challenge in itself so you need to be switched on, you need to be concentrating for 95, 97 minutes, however long the game is.

“When you go to these places, Celtic will have a lot of the ball, we all know that. As long as you can control where they are at times, and you can try and nullify their main threats at times – but you also have to carry a threat going the other way.

“The other thing you need to do is you need to be brave in possession. So I talk a lot about the players with that.

“What is being brave? It’s not just putting your body on the line and throwing it in front of a shot, which that is clearly a sign of being brave. It’s also having the composure to take the ball under pressure in that arena.”

Hibs’ shameful record at Celtic Park since 1998 shows Bhoys’ power

Hibs have not enjoyed a great time at Celtic Park over the years and since Wim Jansen ended Rangers’ ten-in-a-row bid, the Bhoys’ power over the capital club has been superb.

Hibs’ only wins have come in 2010 and 2005 and over that period Celtic have battered them 5-0 twice, 6-1, 6-0 and, more recently, 4-1 in 2023.

Almost immediately, the name Henrik Larsson screams out as the striker who would have the most number of goals against Hibs.

He does, but the Swedish legend shares the record with two other Celtic strikers.

James Forrest and Kyogo are the next two players on the list with four goals and Celtic fans will be hoping that Celtic’s most decorated player will get that elusive goal that would mean he has scored in every single league season he has appeared in since making his debut in 2010.
