Celtic bring an end to their Scottish Premiership campaign against St Mirren.

Trophy day is always a great occasion for Celtic fans flocking to Parkhead and Brendan Rodgers’ men will want to put on a show before lifting the Scottish Premiership trophy.

Some players will be using the game as one last audition to force their way into the lineup for the Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen on May 24.

Off the back of Celtic’s 5-1 win against Aberdeen at Pittodrie in midweek, several of those fringe players did enough to stake a claim for retaining their spot against St Mirren.

With that, here’s how 67 Hail Hail think the Bhoys’ starting XI will look for the final league game of the season.

Greg Taylor starts final league game and Johnny Kenny keeps place

It will be an emotional afternoon at Celtic Park as Greg Taylor prepares to say goodbye to the Hoops.

Taylor is almost certainly leaving Celtic and deserves to start in front of the 60,000 fans for the final time in his penultimate appearance for the club.

Rodgers has confirmed Kasper Schmeichel will start after he made the decision to play Viljami Sinisalo midweek.

Maik Nawrocki impressed supporters in the win against Aberdeen and should also keep his spot in the XI – even if Cameron Carter-Vickers is available again.

Alistair Johnston is also likely to come back in to regain match fitness, with Anthony Ralston making way.

In the middle, Luke McCowan or Paulo Bernardo will probably start ahead of Reo Hatate, who is out for the season.

Callum McGregor will obviously start, and Arne Engels could also come back into the fold.

Up front, Daizen Maeda could be rested again to allow James Forrest to start and hopefully score for the 16th season running, shifting Nicolas Kuhn over to the left.

Finally, Adam Idah may have bagged his 20th goal of the season on Wednesday but Johnny Kenny should keep his place in the XI.

Kenny was delighted to get off the mark on his first start for the club and the chance to play from the off in front of the home crowd would be the perfect way to cap off a great week.

Brendan Rodgers should name a youthful bench against St Mirren

It’s important that players get minutes in the legs ahead of the Hampden Park showdown next week, but with the league done and dusted, it’s a great chance to give some younger players minutes.

Sean McArdle has played in the last two games, coming off the bench, and there are plenty of other talents.

Colby Donovan is a promising right-back and could come on for Johnston whilst Samuel Isiguzo has impressed since breaking into the B team and a chance to make a senior debut would be well earned.
