Chris Sutton has announced that the Aberdeen vs Celtic fixture has been postponed this evening.
Aberdeen announced a late pitch inspection as hundreds of Celtic supporters made their way to Pittodrie for the 8pm kick-off.
Heavy rain and bad weather had made the pitch ‘heavy’ as the Dons looked to try and get the inspection to pass.
However, it appears that the game is now off, after Celtic hero Chris Sutton announced it on social media just a few short minutes ago.

Aberdeen vs Celtic game ‘off’
Sutton made the announcement on X and it will disappoint the travelling Celtic support who would have been at least half-way to Aberdeen.
Sutton took to X and said, “All this way and Aberdeen v Celtic is off.”
Fans will be gutted as the chance to close the gap to Hearts to just three points will now have to wait.

Celtic released a statement just minutes after Sutton as the Parkhead club made an announcement on X.
The Bhoys posted, “Tonight’s match has been postponed following a pitch inspection.
“A new date for #ABECEL will be confirmed in due course.”
Celtic fans will be keeping an eye out for that date.
