Celtic will hope to end their league campaign with a win against St Mirren.
Brendan Rodgers’ side have dominated the Scottish Premiership and wrapped it up early doors, using the rest of the season to turn their focus towards the Scottish Cup final.
It’s expected to be an emotional atmosphere as Greg Taylor looks set to take the Celtic Park turf for the final time ahead of his imminent departure and James Forrest will bring the trophy out at full-time to commemorate becoming Celtic’s most decorated player of all time.
Goals have been a huge part of the season too, with the Bhoys finding the back of the net 111 times – which equates to an average of three a game.
Plenty of records have been broken already but there is still time for another to fall this weekend.
Celtic eyeing up goals record that’s lasted over 100 years
Adam Idah became the third player to score 20 goals for Celtic this season – a feat not matched since the 1969/70 season.
Idah’s goals along with Daizen Maeda, Nicolas Kuhn and everyone else who has chipped in has left the Hoops with a chance of breaking the record for the number of goals they’ve scored in a league season.
The 1915/16 saw Celtic score 116 goals – meaning that they would need to score five to match the record and six to beat it.

That’s not completely out of the question. For example, Celtic scored five against Aberdeen just a few days ago and have scored five or more goals in eight league games.
St Mirren’s poor final day record is music to Celtic’s ears
That winning feeling never gets old and even though Celtic have become accustomed to winning season after season, it’s not taken for granted.
Ending the league season with a win is vitally important and thankfully, the odds are in their favour.
Their opponents St Mirren don’t have the best record on the final day of the season – losing in the last two years.
One of them was against Celtic – losing 3-2 in the 2023/24 campaign.
