It’s great to see a few Celtic youngsters being handed a chance by Brendan Rodgers.
On Saturday, Celtic beat Hibernian, as fans, players, and everyone alike celebrated the title win after confirming the crown at Tannadice a fortnight ago.
Hibs actually opened the scoring through Martin Boyle, but then Celtic showcased their attacking might by going into the break with a 2-1 lead, after goals from Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah.
Just before the hour mark, Reo Hatate scored a well-worked team goal, and then the Celtic manager began making his changes.
The one that stood out was the one five minutes from time when Celtic youngster Sean McArdle was introduced into the action for Arne Engels.

Sean McArdle reacts to Celtic debut
It’s the first taste of the big time for McArdle, and what a stage to do it, on home soil and as the champions of Scotland.
The 17-year-old has racked up 40 appearances for the Celtic B team, and he was understandably delighted at getting his first shot at playing for his boyhood club.
This was the message McArdle posted on his socials.
“Such a surreal moment making my debut for my boyhood club,” posted McArdle. “Just thankful for the opportunity and was really good to get result as well, hopefully many more to come.”
McArdle’s record for Celtic’s B team
With Celtic securing the title, it would be great to see if more youngsters are handed a chance because the champions can afford to do so.
This isn’t the first time Rodgers has handed a young midfielder a debut because he did so against Aberdeen in February.
And now McArdle, who has 40 appearances for Celtic’s B team, including 32 this term, has been added to that list.
