After what felt like forever, Wilfried Nancy is off the mark at Celtic.
The Hoops’ 3-1 win against Aberdeen was the first time that the Frenchman had tasted victory as the Celtic manager after losing his first four games in charge.
Celtic fans threw their support behind Nancy after the much-needed three points, which keeps them six behind Hearts for now.
It hasn’t been easy to say the least, but there is a hope that this can be what kickstarts the 48-year-old’s career in Glasgow.
While local media has perhaps placed him under the microscope a little more, the press in the USA have constantly encouraged Celtic fans to be patient with the new manager.

Several experts and pundits were delighted to see the former Columbus Crew chief get off the mark, and immediately took to social media to sing his praises.
Kevin Egan, an MLS pundit, kicked off the celebrations by commenting: “Delighted for this man. Hopefully this is the beginning of something great at Celtic.”
Orri Benatar added: “For your information Columbus Crew fans – Nancy got his first win at Celtic.”
Le journal de Montreal commented on the win too, adding: “Sunday’s victory is a relief, but it came late with goals from Tierney (in the 88th minute) and Forrest in added time against an opponent who was reduced to 10 men for the entire second half.”

Getting off the mark with that first win is so important for Nancy, but now the real work begins.
Hearts still need chasing down, and the Hoops manager has issued a rallying cry by saying that they are coming for the league leaders.
He said: “We chase anybody. The idea is to compete with ourselves. After that, the standings, we’ll see.
