Celtic are doing their talking on the pitch after a typically strong start to the new season.
On Sunday, Celtic beat Aberdeen to make it two wins from two, with Benjamin Nygren opening the scoring, and Reo Hatate netting a beauty from the edge of the box.
There has been a lot of noise around Brendan Rodgers’ squad during the 2025 summer transfer market, including eight players coming in, and 21 heading for the exit door, either permanently or a loan.
One man who left Celtic for good this summer is centre-back Gustaf Lagerbielke, joining Braga, and he seems to have been keeping an eye on matters at his former club from the weekend.

Gustaf Lagerbielke delighted for Benjamin Nygren after Celtic beat Aberdeen
Rodgers made the big call to drop Arne Engels and start Nygren in the middle of the park, alongside Hatate and captain Callum McGregor.
And one thing is for sure, the Swedish star is producing the goods and starting life at Celtic in a really strong fashion.
Following the win over Aberdeen, Nygren posted the four-leaf clover on his Instagram, with Lagerbielke posting a simple message in the comments section.
- Lagerbielke: ‘Let’s gooooo.’
Nygren’s stats for Celtic against Aberdeen
Many expected Nygren to come in and fill that right-wing role left by Nicolas Kuhn, but he is showing his versatility elsewhere.
One thing is for sure: Celtic don’t need any more midfield players because they are stacked in that department now.
After being rated just under seven by WhoScored against St Mirren, Nygren was handed a pretty impressive 9.09 against Aberdeen.
