Michael Stewart has admitted that he is ‘concerned’ that Kasper Schmeichel’s shoulder problems are affecting his performance for Celtic.
Schmeichel came in for criticism against Kilmarnock, with many highlighting how he didn’t use his left hand to try and stop the hosts’ second goal.
Thankfully Julian Araujo was able to bail him out with a stoppage time winner, but the 39-year-old has been in the firing line for some time.
Martin O’Neill revealed that Schmeichel is still suffering with a shoulder issue, which is why he missed the win against Dundee, and Stewart thinks that is affecting his overall game.

He said: “You can’t get past the fact that Kasper Schmeichel is lacking that explosiveness.
“I’m concerned that there is an issue with his left shoulder and he doesn’t really want to be opening up that joint.”
Viljami Sinisalo is waiting in the wings to be called upon if needed and has played in the cup competitions, with some fans even thinking that he should start regardless.
