Celtic celebrated their league title win with a classy performance against Hibs.
Brendan Rodgers named a strong Celtic starting XI as he looked to give the fans plenty to cheer about in their first home game since the title was wrapped up two weeks ago at Dundee United.
With a Scottish Cup final to look forward to, the champions took on a Hibs side looking to solidify third place in the league by picking up points at Celtic Park.
But before the big game kicked off, Hibs showed a touch of class that Rangers couldn’t face doing when Celtic visited Ibrox in the final Glasgow Derby of the season.

Watch Hibs deliver Celtic a class guard of honour
Just prior to kick-off, the Hibs players delivered a guard of honour to Celtic after they clinched the Scottish Premiership title at Dundee United two weeks ago.

It was a classy gesture by the Edinburgh club and one which Rangers couldn’t bring themselves to do at Ibrox.

Peter Grant’s sly dig at Rangers over Hibs’ Celtic Park guard of honour
Speaking about the guard of honour on Celtic TV, Grant admitted he understood why Rangers never gave the Hoops a guard of honour but still had a sneaky dig at the Glasgow rivals.
Grant said on Celtic TV, “I would do it for them [Hibs], but nobody else. That’s for sure.
“No, I think last week I was fair with that because I wouldn’t be expecting Celtic to do it if it was the other way around about, that’s for sure.
“But Hibs? I have no problem.”
Grant’s comments had Celtic TV host Gerry McCulloch in fits of laughter.
It was a nice gesture by the Edinburgh club and one that started off a nice day at Celtic Park as the Hoops ran out comfortable winners.
