Celtic swept Motherwell aside in yesterday’s league victory at Fir Park.
It was a comfortable Hoops win over the Steelmen with the home side not laying a glove on the Scottish Premiership leaders in the second-half.
Daizen Maeda hit the opener within the first 50 seconds of the clash before Motherwell new signing Luke Armstrong levelled.
Adam Idah continued his recent run with Celtic‘s second before Jota found his happy tears when he slotted home the third towards the end of the action to mark his comeback following his move from Rennes with Kyogo going the opposite way.
The result was solid but it could have been even more convincing for Brendan Rodgers‘ side.

Adam Idah forced Celtic’s goal but it was ruled out
With the scoreline still sitting at 2-1, Idah raced behind the ‘Well backline with what looked to be a perfectly timed run and he outmuscled his marker.
The Irishman then attempted to find Maeda at the back-stick but instead saw his cross cannon off defender Tom Sparrow and into the net.
It brought a sense of relief to Celtic fans even for a brief second before VAR intervened and urged referee Calum Scott to have a look at the monitor with the lines having been drawn.
Idah was adjudged to be offside and play continued.
But when Celtic TV commentator Paul Cuddihy and co-comms Peter Grant were shown images of the lines that had been marked up by the VAR technicians, the presenter could hardly believe what he had seen.

Cuddihy, admitting he would have to consider his wording warily, insisted there was no chance Idah was offside as it looked apparent that he had timed his run well.
And during his commentary work, Cuddihy was perplexed.
He said: “I’ll have to pick my words carefully, but that is not offside.
“That is just someone drawing a blue line to make the Motherwell player behind the Celtic player.
“That is not offside.”
