Rangers player shows Celtic disrespect with immature social media post after derby win

Rangers showed a total lack of class at Celtic Park on Sunday afternoon after they won the derby.

Celtic lost 3-2 at home to their rivals in what was a disappointing day in Scottish Premiership action. It was the first time the Light Blues had won at Parkhead in years and showed what can happen if complacency is allowed to creep in.

Brendan Rodgers has a strong record vs Gers and the manager was left frustrated at his players for their performances.

The gaffer also acknowledged how much Celtic miss Callum McGregor after the captain was ruled out with an injury.

Dujon Sterling disrespected Celtic with social media post

But for the second time this season after Rangers picked up the points on derby day, a classless incident occurred after one had also happened on the sidelines following their third goal.

In the aftermath of their victory in the east end of Glasgow, defender Dujon Sterling seemed to forget the 13-point difference at the top of the division as he pandered to his team’s supporters.

Posting on Instagram Sterling described Celtic Park as a sh——. He wrote: “Huge shift by everyone today at that sh—— – it doesn’t get much better! There’s more to come Gers”.

It was a poor response from a so-called professional who should know better than to incite a response from a Celtic side who have been so dominant in the past and already won’t need much motivation in the next Glasgow derby.

Vaclav Cerny also faces ban for what he did to Celtic fans

Still, it’s what we’ve come to expect from Rangers and their players after Arne Engels was pelted by a coin at Ibrox last time out despite the hosts leading that game 3-0.

A totally unnecessary and disgraceful incident in general, but to do so while winning the game is baffling.

Vaclav Cerny also faces a ban for skooshing water at the Celtic fanbase following Hamza Igamane’s late winner.

Another moment of madness which seems to have coincided with Barry Ferguson taking the reins on an interim basis.
