The feeling around Celtic is anything but positive right now after the Hoops were beaten in the Premier Sports Cup final.

Celtic were beaten by St Mirren 3-1 as they produced another dreadful display that has Wilfried Nancy hanging onto his job.

Anger was directed at various different areas of Celtic, including the players, manager and the board.

Those on the Celtic board were there at Hampden Park to see the carnage unfold, including Peter Lawwell, who summed up the day with one still image.

What would your message be to Peter Lawwell and the Celtic board after that loss?

Peter Lawwell reaction to St Mirren third goal caught by Premier Sports

Lawwell’s relationship with fans is at an all-time low following his decision to close the 2025 AGM early.

Supporters have long called for him to be removed from his position, but he still remains to this day.

Even he looked distressed by what was going on as the Premier Sports cameras caught him shaking his head and putting his hands over his eyes.

A still image grabbed by the Daily Record captured the moment, and even in the wake of defeat, it will bring a wry smile from supporters.

Celtic fans will laugh at the sight of Lawwell’s reaction

Seeing a member of the Hoops hierarchy looking disappointed will be a perfect example of irony for some fans.

The board have continuously made errors in recent years, yet still seem to point the blame elsewhere.

Watching a senior figure who has been directly involved in many of these may seem ironic to some fans, and they’ll be wondering if the penny has finally dropped for those at the top.
