Celtic’s fixture against Wolves on Saturday will be shown live on television.
As we told you last week, Celtic have already announced some positive arrangements for the rest of pre-season with regards to broadcasting.
They revealed that the Wolves fixture will be shown worldwide to Celtic TV subscribers, while the match against Athletic Club will be available to those outside of the UK and Ireland.
However, this weekend’s Dublin clash against Julen Lopetegui’s side will also be getting the proper television treatment.
Viaplay Sports have announced that they will show the match from the Aviva Stadium live.
Viaplay tweeted, saying: “Live pre-season action coming your way. Dublin’s Aviva Stadium welcomes Celtic and Wolves as both Brendan Rodgers and Julen Lopetegui ramp up their teams’ preparations for the new season.”

They say that coverage for the 2pm kick-off will start on Viaplay Sports 1 at 1:55pm. Not too much time for build-up then.
It does at least mean that Celtic supporters not subscribed to Celtic TV will be able to watch the match live. Viaplay hold rights to matches in the Scottish Cup and League Cup so it’s fair to assume that plenty of Hoops fans will already be subbed up with them.

As we’ve covered recently, Viaplay have outlined plans to end streaming services in the UK amid some financial difficulties.
But, from this evidence, it seems very much like the impact will be minimal to Celtic and Scottish football. For the time being at least.
