Alphonso Davies broke Celtic hearts in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The newly revamped Champions League format has certainly brought its drama and everyone inside the Allianz Arena witnessed that.
Bayern Munich knocked Celtic out in stoppage time and booked their last 16 ticket, despite the valiant and high-quality effort of Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Simply put, Celtic didn’t deserve to lose in such a manner, but they can hold their heads up high because real progress is being made in Europe’s elite competition.
Rewind back to match week two of this season’s Champions League and Borussia Dortmund are putting seven goals past the Bhoys.
Yet that horror show compared to what was produced against Bayern was night and day from the champions of Scotland, as they got their flowers from the man who ended their hopes.

Alphonso Davies ‘knew’ that Celtic would play with ‘high intensity’ against Bayern Munich
This wasn’t Celtic turning up to Bayern’s backyard, sitting back and conceding big chance after big chance.
There was a lot of bravery and forward-thinking nature to the play, with Davies explaining how his side knew that the opposition would play with ‘high intensity’ and how they had to ‘match’ that.
The all-action left-back, who recently signed a new deal in Bavaria, also stated that Bayern ‘didn’t give away many chances’ during the game.
Davies told Bayern’s official website: “It’s the Champions League; we’re playing against a good Celtic team.
“We knew they would come here with high intensity, and we know we had to match that intensity, which we did. It’s not easy to play so many games, but all in all, we defended well.
“We had a momentary lapse at the back, but on the whole, we played well. We didn’t give away many chances. In the end, we’re just happy to be through to the next round.”
Davies on tackling Cameron Carter-Vickers for Bayern Munich’s crucial goal
Just one more action needed to be defended and Celtic were taking Bayern to another 30 minutes.
But Cameron Carter-Vickers, who tried reacting and dealing with Kasper Schmeichel saving Leon Goretzka’s header, found Davies stumbling on top of him and bundling the ball into the back of the net.
Davies explained how he managed to get in front of Carter-Vickers and ‘tackled him in the goal’, as he told CBS Sports.
“It was a very good evening,” said Davies. “We are happy and just looking forward to the next game.
“When Michael (Olise) crossed the ball. I just tried getting myself in the box knowing that we were 1-0 down at home.
“When the ball just landed there, I just tried to my foot where I thought he was going to kick it. You can say that I tackled him in the goal, but I am happy that it went in.”
