Adam Idah spent all summer looking forward to pulling on the Celtic jersey and the League Cup win against Hibs, the Irishman got his wish.
Celtic spent the summer playing a bit of cat and mouse with Norwich over Adam Idah before a £9.5m deal was agreed last week.
Personal terms were tied up pretty quickly and the Republic of Ireland international got his Celtic wish after making his intentions clear to Norwich City that he wanted to move to Glasgow permanently.
And as Idah took to the pitch in the 3-1 over Hibs yesterday, the Celtic fans did this for their returning hero:
Celtic supporters blow Adam Idah away
It was a great reception for Adam Idah and although he didn’t get his debut goal, the 23-year-old was over the moon to pull on the green and white Hoops and took to Instagram to show his appreciation to the Celtic supporters:
Idah got 30 minutes against David Gray’s Hibs and it was great that the young man got to re-introduce himself to the Celtic support with a home debut.
Idah has given Celtic a boost
It’s clear from the Celtic supporters’ reaction that they are delighted at the club spending a sizeable fee to get Idah and they will be hoping that he carries on his great form from last season to have a brilliant career at the club.

Idah was crucial to Celtic’s successes last season as his nine goals during his initial loan spell helped tie up the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup for Brendan Rodgers.
We also discussed last week how Nicolas Kuhn shared Idah’s relationship with his teammates and it seems that it’s not just the Celtic Park support who are delighted to have him back.
Now that his long-awaited return is complete, the Celtic fans will be looking forward to celebrating Idah’s first goal as a permanent Celtic player.
