In a surprising move, Adidas seem to have released Celtic’s third kit for 2023/24 for sale on their website.
The sportswear giant has placed the kit for sale at £70 [Adidas]. The kit is described as ‘being in tune with Glasgow’s culture’ and ‘thriving arts’ scene with a ‘soundwave inspiring design’.
In another unprecedented move, Adidas have also placed the new 2023/24 home socks for sale on their website [Adidas]. They are priced at £20 and the description gives a massive hint into how the new home strip may look when it is finally released.

The description says, “With green hoops matching those on the jersey, these Adidas Celtic FC socks are from the club’s Celtic Park-inspired 23/24 home kit.”
Normally, third kits are not released until after the official launch of the home kit and to put next season’s home socks on sale before a launch is highly unusual.
One can only guess that these have been listed by accident or it is a very smart marketing ploy to drum up interest ahead of the big launch which generally takes place after season ticket renewals in the summer.
Celtic fans have been loving the joint venture between Celtic and Adidas. The German company’s designs have been well received.
In fact, just over a month ago, the release of the new style Samba trainer was so popular it sold out quickly and was only available at selective outlets. Even to this day, the trainers are still not available on the Celtic website.
There is no doubt this new third kit will be extremely popular with the Celtic fans. The design and colour should make itan instant hit. And as for the socks, if these are inspired by the home kit, it will be very interesting to see how the famous Hoops are going to look when it is released.
