When the pair of Hollywood superstars ploughed cash into Wrexham in a bid to establish the Welsh outfit in the EFL, they opened the door to other elite celebs looking to do the same.

Tom Brady invested in Birmingham City and Black Panther actor Michael B. Jordan did the same with Bournemouth.

Scottish football has remained largely untouched, as yet, by the big-hitters, but Celtic supporting rapper Snoop Dogg may well intend to change that after he mentioned potentially investing in the Scottish champions.

We at 67 Hail Hail told you how the 53-year-old has been inspired by Wrexham’s owners and admitted he’d be open to taking their lead and investing in Celtic due to the love he has for their fans.

And it has been a bizarre, left-field story which has grown arms and legs over the course of a few short days.

Legendary presenter Jeff Stelling and talkSPORT colleague Dean Saunders discussed the possible odd bedfellows on their show yesterday and had plenty to say about the team-up.

But now, closer to home, Rangers icon Ally McCoist had had his say on the possibility of Snoop spending his Gin & Juice money on the Hoops.

Rather than take it at face value, however, McCoist was happier with the tongue-in-cheek approach as he continued the rivalry between Celtic and the Light Blues.

Thinking on the notion of the global performer buying into the Parkhead club, McCoist jokingly made it clear he had no time for Snoop and instead had other rappers on his Mount Rushmore.

Asked by Stelling if he would stop listening to Snoop Dogg should he spend money in Glasgow’s east end, McCoist was as quick as ever.

He chuckled: “Listen, I’m not even gonna start listening Snoop Dogg, Jeff because I’ve said it before. Eminem’s the main man when it comes to rappers, right?

“Don’t mind about battery. I don’t mind a bit Dre, I don’t mind a bit of 50 Cent, but Eminem is the governor. Snoop Dogg doesn’t even get on the podium.”
