Former Barcelona and Spain midfielder Andres Iniesta has reacted on Instagram to Celtic star Kyogo Furuhashi’s training ground visit at Vissel Kobe.

After spending time with the Japanese international side earlier this month, the 27-year-old decided to remain in his homeland, enjoying a well-deserved rest off the back of a brilliant first season at Parkhead.

Earlier today, Furuhashi decided to visit his former club Vissel Kobe and was even invited to participate in a training session.

Taking part in training allowed the Celtic frontman to get some early preparation in before returning to pre-season training at Lennoxtown within the next few weeks.

However, it also gave Kyogo the chance to catch up with some of his friends and former teammates, having previously spent four years at the club.

One of the teammates Kyogo held a strong relationship with was legendary midfielder Andres Iniesta.

Taking to Instagram, the four-time Champions League winner sent a message to Kyogo after his training ground visit, stating: “Good to see you again, my friend!!”

Some of Kyogo’s other ex-teammates and the official Vissel Kobe account also reacted to his short time spent with the club, welcoming him ‘home’ a year on from his departure.

Whilst it has been a superb 12 months for Kyogo, after becoming a key talisman under Ange Postecoglou, the same can’t be said for his former side.

After finishing 3rd in the J-League last season, Vissel Kobe suffered a sudden downfall in 2022 and currently sit bottom of the Japanese top-flight at this moment in time.

Although the Celtic man won’t be able to help out his former side on the pitch, his recent visit might provide the club with a much-needed morale boost.

The Bhoys’ support are now looking forward to seeing Kyogo back in action for Celtic going into next season, and hopefully, his extra pre-season preparations will have him fit and firing right from the off.
