Celtic fans’ protest against the board has certainly got everyone talking.

The Parkhead support completed their first stage of action against the board as Celtic fans staged a 12th-minute late walk-in at Kilmarnock.

Some people in the media believe the protest was a bit of a wash-out. That is, of course, a load of nonsense as the Celtic fans are now being spoken about by the likes of Sky Sports, creating headlines in all the tabloids and pundits like Chris Sutton, Kris Boyd and James McFadden are still talking about it.

The action was a success and if the Celtic board think it is going away, Andy Walker has a big warning for the Parkhead executives.

Celtic board warned that fan protests are not going away

Walker was asked about his thoughts on the Celtic supporters’ stance with the board and the ex-Hoops striker believes there is more to come.

Walker told The Go Radio Football Show, “I think the manager did try to put pressure on people to get one or two deals over the line, but it didn’t happen.

“I think this is why we are hearing and we are seeing a lot of protests from large groups of Celtic supporters.

“I don’t know where that’s going to end up, but I don’t think the supporters are going to let this go. This is not a, ‘Ah, the transfer windows over? We won’t protest anymore’.

“I think they will.”

What next for Celtic fan protests against the board

A meeting was held last Wednesday where a huge collaboration of Celtic supporters in fan groups, fan media and Supporters Associations came together to agree on action against the board.

Considering the meeting was called, organised and executed within days is impressive and another has already taken place last night.

There will be more fan action, of that the Celtic board can be assured of. With more high-profile games coming up, the board are set to be embarrassed on more than one occasion over the coming weeks.
